Unboxing: Gucci Bamboo EDP

One of Gucci’s most recognizable design signature is the bamboo, inspired by the brand’s Bamboo bags (introduced in 1947). The bag’s signature handles sourced from Japan were a stylish solution to a war-time rationing of material. The bamboo’s natural strength compares to steel. Slender and elegant, the bamboo soars willowy over other vegetation.

The modern Gucci woman shares bamboo’s characteristics. She balances strength and confidence with her innate femininity. She bends yet she does not break. Like bamboo, she is full of vitality, she is adaptable, and she faces life’s changes with ease. She is an alluring mix of many sides.

I got the Gucci Bamboo EDP and it’s time we unbox this baby!

Ooohh…

The distinctive bottle reveals the scent’s inspiration and Gucci’s famed design signature. Boldly cut art deco diamond style glass facets are juxtaposed against the curved, feminine cap and the pale blush scent inside. The sleek cap reveals bamboo’s unmistakable ridged contours in polished silver metal.

Time to spritz!

The smell on me:  A combination of warm, woody notes balanced by a hint of Tahitian Vanilla. There’s also a touch of citrus-y scent and delicate Ylang-Ylang. I would wear this going to dinner with friends or date night with Tom.

We just planted bamboo around the house and I thought I’d shoot the bottle with the sturdy plants in background. What do you think?

If you’ve never tried any Gucci perfume, I suggest you trot to the nearest Rustan’s beauty boutique and try it. I’m pretty sure you’ll like how it smells.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!
