This year marks a departure from our typical festive traditions. Life’s unexpected twists left our current home devoid of holiday decorations and the familiar warmth of cherished Christmas family traditions.

But fear not, dear readers, for faced with unexpected changes, we Eppersons rise like festive phoenixes. As Christmas approached, Tom and I, the dynamic duo of holiday improvisation, realized that a scaled-down celebration doesn’t mean a downgraded experience. Our growing son deserved a celebration honoring the special moments of his teenage years. His increasing independence and desire to spend time with friends prompted us to reconsider our plans.

So, armed with the spirit of last-minute decision-making, we resolved to reinvent our Christmas. Sure, our decorations are MIA, and our Santa Stakeout has been replaced by a casual Santa Wave from the balcony. We may lack all the trimmings of past Christmases, but we’re filling this holiday with the essence of what truly matters – creating meaningful memories together.

Welcome to our snug Christmas haven! This year, our holiday hub has relocated to a new temporary condo, but worry not – the Eppersons are still keeping up with our beloved Santa stakeout tradition.

Picture this: mattress on the floor with a mountain of fluffy pillows, festive tunes, and the scent of homemade brunch wafting through the air. But hold on, there’s a dash of newness in our celebration – dazzling light shows and a holiday shuffle from the boys as we explore the city.
