Chic Sneakers

Sneakers are one of my staple footwear. They are comfortable, low-maintenance and versatile. The key is to find a pair that looks flattering (not bulky) especially on women.

I love Bensimon sneakers!

I will never forget Teen Vogue‘s February 2009, ‘Fade to Blue’ fashion editorial. I loved the pastel worn out look and the effortless styling. Since then, I was hooked on tattered denim jeans! I was also obsessed with the white worn-in sneakers on the female models. They were Bensimon sneakers!

At that time, Bensimon was not yet available in the Philippines. I remember asking my friend who was vacationing in Europe to scour for white Bensimon sneakers for me. Luckily, she found a pair and I wore them to the ground.

I love the chic style of Bensimon sneakers! They are comfy and the best part of it all, you can pop them in the washing machine and they come out clean and beautifully “aged”.

Good news: I don’t have to pester my friends anymore to buy Bensimon sneakers for me abroad because the chic kicks are now available in Manila! Ahhhhhhhhh!

About Bensimon

A tireless traveler, Serge Bensimon went from military surplus to fashion, from design and art to literature, with a centred vision: a certain idea of lifestyle where colour, elegance and the joy of living are intertwined … always.

In the early ’80s, he opened, with his brother Yves, a first boutique in the Marais, on the famous rue des Francs Bourgeois. Inspired by the world of travel, the brand becomes Bensimon collections around the world. Immediately, other shops emerged including Home Around the World. Home Around the world covers respective lines of ready-to-wear and decorative items. This gives a rise to a real lifestyle.

The Bensimon’s style, which is a sumptuous blend of genres and colours in a casual chic and feminine spirit, emphasizes colour and beautiful fabrics.

In thirty years, the lifestyle brand has made its international name a great reputation.

Bensimon sneakers are the epitome of Parisian chic style — effortless and stylish.

I put together a style collage of how to wear them:

Effortless ensembles + Cool kicks

Since my son Dylan is only three years old, I still have a say on what he wears. It’s fun to dress him up and he wears his Bensimon sneakers a lot.

Here’s a mood board for kids on how to rock Bensimon Kids:
