A “Wicked” Night at the Theater

My daughter Aryanna has been wanting to watch Wicked since she was in Grade 6. We missed it when we went to New York a few years ago.

While we were on our family vacation in Boracay last October, we found out that the Broadway musical was coming to town. We immediately bought tickets online and we were super excited!

After months of waiting, the day has finally arrived…

Wicked is a Broadway musical that shows the untold story of the witches of Oz, and how two young women named Galinda and Elphaba became Glinda the Good and The Wicked Witch of the West. It shows Elphaba as the misunderstood girl that she is, and tells the story from her perspective.

Act 1 of Wicked was amazing! According to Aryanna, it’s everything she has imagined and more!

Intermission…

Act 2 was a revelation! Bravo!!!

No spoilers. All I can say is, watch Wicked! It’s a delightful, funny and entertaining show!

Aryanna and I had a grand time at the theater!

Tip: Go early. You can have dinner at the CCP Complex as there are a lot of restaurants to eat in. If you are late for the show, you will be able to go inside the theater but you will not be allowed to sit on your designated seat until the intermission. Most latecomers we saw were sitting on the stairs on the side or standing near the door. Sayang naman.

Dinner was old school: Tropical Hut
