Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of our life, moments pass us by and opportunities are born and die. In this digital age, precious moments are uploaded more on Instagram than actually being in the moment. Memories should be captured by being conscious not with a camera. Now, more than ever, time is luxury.
The older I get, the more I value time spent with my loved ones. Being present and spending time to nurture my family and connect with friends are more important than fulfilling my Instagram desires, haha! For as much as I want to share my experiences online all the time, I also love being attuned to people and my surroundings. By doing so, I’m liking myself more and not caring about the “Likes” of my social media posts. Not being attached to my phone is freedom and freedom is time.
Like what I wrote before, I’m all about rituals. I give myself a break from being a mother, a friend, a wife and a businesswoman to recharge and be inspired. “Me” time is key.
Wellness Weekend Escape
I was invited last summer to Philip Stein’s Wellness Weekend Escape at The Farm in San Benito and met Philip Stein co-founder and president Will Stein. During the event, he said, “The attitude of gratitude leads to a great mood, which leads to a great day, which leads to a great week, a great month, a great year, and ultimately a great life.” His words resonated with me because I always believed that happiness happens when one is grateful. Time is quality and not quantity.
