After being married for 17 years, you would imagine that Tom and I would have at least a dining table. Unfortunately, we haven’t found “The One”. Over the years, we’ve been using makeshift tables as our dining table. Currently, we’re using Tom’s foldable work table from his studio.
We’re the types that would hold off to buying things that we only love to put in our home. Each pieces we have in our place were carefully chosen. We’re not in a rush to complete our space (when is it ever “complete” anyway?) Besides, buying and selling temporary furniture is not the easiest thing.
This is the year that my family and I would like to entertain at home. Just a few close friends to hangout and share meals and make memories together. Kaya sana magparamdam na ang mahiwagang dining table! Haha!
Dahil choosey kami, eto ang mga pegs:
Sleek marble table with rolling side trays options
Very Red Sea lang ang peg — nagpapart ang dalawang table.
For those who only have a small family and a very small space, this dining table is a winner!
“Transformer” naman ang peg.
I love stalking celebrities’ and designers’ homes. Below is Cynthis Rowley’s adorable dining nook.
I love the wooden dining table and printed chairs. The sofa combo balances luxury and comfort.
As you know, I adore anything Gywneth Paltrow.
Check out Gwyneth’s dining room in her family’s Tribecca loft. The restaurant-style booth seating and pastel colors are so mabango. Very, very, light ang feeling.
Below is Gwyneth’s dining room at their Hamptons house. Again, the look is light and airy.
I love white tables! It’s a good canvas for any plato-platuhan.
When we build our future home, we will have two dining areas: a main dining room and a breakfast nook in the kitchen.
Something like this:
There is beauty in simplicity. A simple black table like this…
Or a chic white dining table would work for our place.
Double dinning tables are for the quintessential party host! Where can I find these ornate tables???
I believe that a home should have a touch of fantasy and a dash of drama, at least in my home.
Here’s the chic counterpart of the double dining tables:
For now, while in search for our dining table, I’ll probably cover our makeshift table with table cloth.
Peg:
In the end, whatever dining set we have, what’s important is the meals and memories we create together at home.
Shoppingero/shoppingera, if you know a place where I can look at dining tables or if you sell them, please leave a comment on my blog or tag me on Twitter.
