Ringing in the New Year brings so much joy and hope. It’s a great time for reflecting on the past year and looking forward to all the new memories and adventures for 2016.
At home, cleaning, de-cluttering and organizing our space for New Year’s Eve are essential. There is nothing like starting the year with a fresh and clean environment.
Stress-free preparations for the holiday is also key. For our NYE dinner, I started fixing our tablescape in the late afternoon to give me more time to lounge, haha! The plato-platuhan (tableware) were laid out accordingly for a beautiful and efficient buffet.
Orbs as ornaments for this year’s NYE tablescape.
I usually light unscented candles on the table but once in a while, I use cinnamon-scented candles for some sweet and homey smell.
When it comes to buffet set-ups, it’s all about the high & low.
For our New Year’s Eve dinner, we decided to skip home-cooked meals (we didn’t want to ring in the New Year washing pots, pans and dishes). Aryanna once again, had a brilliant idea of having a cheese and cold cuts platter as our main course. Yes!
Easy and yummy dinner
Three C’s: Champagne, cupcakes and confetti
Pad Thai noodles (from East Cafe) for long life!
Fiesta ham (insert the pig’s snout emoji here)
Dessert towers
This year, it’s “buffet all the way” for our NYE meal!
Ladies and gentlemen, eto na ang buffet showcase!!
What is torture? Haha
What really happens behind the scenes when taking photos for my blog. Daming photobombers!
We’re all about family and fooooood!
