The Dream Vacuum Cleaner: Dyson

Thank God for dreamers who are not quitters because we wouldn’t be enjoying the power of James Dyson’s amazing invention: The Dyson Cyclonic Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

The Story:
You know the feeling when some everyday product lets you down. You wish someone could solve the problem. James Dyson does that. He is a man who likes to make things work better. With his research team he has developed products that have achieved sales of over $10 billion worldwide.

In 1978, while vacuuming his home, James Dyson realized his bag vacuum cleaner was constantly losing suction power. He noticed how dust quickly clogged the pores of the bag and blocked the airflow, so that suction dropped rapidly. He set to work to solve this problem. Five years and 5,127 prototypes later, the world’s first cyclonic bagless vacuum cleaner arrived.

James Dyson offered his invention to major manufacturers. One by one they turned him down, apparently not interested in new technology. They seemed determined to continue selling bags, worth $500 million every year. Later, Hoover’s vice president for Europe, Mike Rutter, said on U.K. national TV, “I do regret that Hoover as a company did not take the product technology off Dyson; it would have lain on the shelf and not been used.”

Too bad for Hoover and wonderful for the world because James Dyson has taken the tried and tested technology of traditional vacuum cleaners with bags to something even better: Cyclonic Bagless Vacuum Cleaner. Boom.

Broom vs. vacuum: Living in the city, dust and pollution are present. Try walking barefoot for a few minutes, chances are the bottom of your feet become dirty from soot or dust. Cleaning the floor using a broom is a loosing battle (especially when you are allergic to dust) because it gets spread around and microscopic particles go airborne. Using a vacuum cleaner is wiser as it sucks the dust.

Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Naturally, I was first drawn to the Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner in fuchsia pink (it’s also available in indigo and silver colors).

It’s a no-brainer. Just pull the trigger and off you go!

Cordless stick vacuum for hassle-free cleaning. Tackles all your vacuuming chores with a special focus on pet hair. Yaaaaaaaaaaas!

Easy maneuvering around and under furniture. The lightweight stick design makes this vacuum easy to handle. The center of gravity is near the grip to give you more control so you can clean high places with ease.

Versatile floor tool for hard floors and carpets. A mixture of carbon filaments and nylon bristle strips cleans a variety of surfaces, and a dust channel prevents dust from cycling back out to the floor.

Docking station included. Charges the vacuum and holds two additional attachments for convenient storage. The Dyson vacuum cleaners are cool-looking, you can display them at home. Condo dwellers with limited space will love it!

Toggle Boost mode on or off. Normal suction gives you longer cleaning times between battery charges, while Boost mode gives you more power for tough cleaning chores.

Motorized mini tool for tough cleaning tasks. Cleans places that are hard to reach with traditional vacuums, like car seats, carpeted stairs and couch cushions.

Bagless 2-Tier Radial Cyclone technology for increased suction. No more clogged bags or filters. 2 tiers of smaller cyclones create centrifugal force to trap fine dust.

Having an active 4-year old means bringing in the house grimey shoes. The Dyson Cordless Vacuum cleans the dirt on the floor and even on carpets easy. Loves it!

Winner features: It’s rechargeable and cordless! Being O.C., I can easily grab the cordless vacuum (without teetering me to an electrical outlet) and zap away dirt in any parts of the house. Panalo!

My teenager daughter Aryanna loves it too because cleaning her room using one appliance with multiple features is easy and fast! Dyson’s sucking power is so strong you don’t have to keep going back and forth to ensure the dirt is being cleaned.

Tom is the happiest because he has new “toys”.

Dyson Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner

I also tried the Dyson DC46 Allergy Parquet cylinder vacuum cleaner because this type of vacuum is ideal for people who suffers from allergies like my family and me.

Approved for allergy sufferers. Dyson’s upright and cylinder range expels cleaner air than any other cyclonic vacuum. Dyson cyclones remove more dirt than any other cyclone. It is designed for high dust and dirt removal on every floor type – not just carpet, and the Dual mode floor tool switches between hard floors and carpets at the push of a button.

Easy maneuvering. It turns on the spot and more easily follows the user’s path. A central steering mechanism provides greater control. It also comes with a Mattress tool to remove dirt and allergens from mattresses and upholstery.

There’s also a lightweight adjustable wand that extends to the length you need for convenient high-reach cleaning.

Dyson vacuum cleaners are powerful and effective appliances that are suitable for use on all floor surfaces and offers superb cleaning performance. They also look cool and make cleaning easy and stylish!
