When Tom and I got married, we invested on two major appliances: a refrigerator and a gas range. We believe that those are two important items to have as we were set to start a new life together.
We chose the gas range based on our needs. Tom and I both like to cook and spend hours in the kitchen, so we wanted something long-lasting, and stylish at the same time. Back in those days, work often took me to Italy and I spied Elba ranges in most of the kitchens I’ve been to as it is a well known kitchen appliance brand in Italy. Goes without saying, I also wanted one for myself.
Fast forward to 18 years later, our Elba gas range is still in good condition. It just needs some fine tuning.
My sister needed a new gas range and Tom and I wanted a new one, so we gave away our favorite stove to my sibling and got a new one for our kitchen.

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting… Our new Elba gas range!
I got the Elba Gas Range PXE 96-980 ISG. I like the sleek, minimalist design and the stainless steel body is long-lasting and easy to clean. The fish burner is my favorite feature — it covers the space of two standard-sized gas burners and is designed to be used when steaming a large fish in a fish kettle. It can also be used with larger pans, griddles and hot-plates when making big batches of pancakes, burgers, etc.
I also got a range hood and it’s the first time I’m trying it. I will blog about it soon.
I am so happy with our new Elba gas range and we’re all inspired to cook new recipes! Maybe we’ll use the rotisserie to cook our turkey for Thanksgiving. Let’s ask Tom.
