I just celebrated my birthday last August 30 (thanks for all the greetings!) In the past, I would have a party in a club or dinner with friends and family in a resto but this time, I just wanted to go on a staycation, order room service and chill.
As part of my birthday celebration, my family and I got to stay at the Presidential Suite of City Garden Grand Hotel for 3 days and two nights.
City Garden Grand Hotel is the 4-star version of City Garden Hotel. It is located at 8008 Makati Ave. cor. Kalayaan Ave., Makati City. It’s a business and leisure hotel with luxurious accommodations.
It was our first time to stay in this hotel and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! Who knew this existed in the city (you’ll know what I mean, scroll down)? It’s time for a room tour!
The grand living room
The Presidential Suite has three separate doors to enter from the 30th floor (room 3007)—two main doors that open up to the living room and another entrance to the kitchen. There is also a powder room in the living area.
The Presidential Suite offers its own unique feature: An heated jacuzzi!
The heated jacuzzi is huge! It also has functioning jets. We opted not to use them to maintain the tranquility of the room. Namaste.

Elegant dining area

The elegant dining room can seat up to 10! It gives guests plenty of elbow room for room service and parties.
Gourmet kitchen
There’s also a gourmet kitchen complete with a big refrigerator, electric oven and stove and cupboard filled with tableware and glassware. Perfect for catered parties or for a romantic chef-prepared dinner for two.
Master suite
The master suite has a huge pocket door that can open up to the living area and closed off for privacy.

The master suite has it’s own lounge area and provides a large desk suitable for business travelers.
A large LED TV and cable to catch up on news or a quiet movie night in the comforts of your own bed.
En suite bathroom
Equally stunning is the adjoining bathroom, outfitted with pristine white walls, elegant drapes, double sink and featuring an over-sized tub and glass-enclosed walk-in shower for two. Check out the Epperson boys and their bubbles! LOL
The suite is expansive and tastefully decorated. We were able to enjoy all the nooks and amenities of the suite.
My children (including Tom, haha) were able to run freely and swim in our private heated jacuzzi. So fun!
Carrying a Zen-minimalist theme and a palette of warm earth tones, the suite is designed to let you revel in utmost pleasure. The rooms are also elaborately decorated with luxurious materials, such as brown onyx stone, synthetic pigskin, narra, and Italian glazed stone.
Chillin’ like villains
So much love and fun just relaxing in our private oasis in the city.
The heated jacuzzi is also idea for small kids to swim in (only 2 feet deep) and grown-ups can easily monitor them all without even leaving the suite.
I don’t know how my family concealed a homemade birthday cake for me but I feel so blessed. Thanks to my favorite people for the surprise! We ate the cake in the plastic container and shared a fork—we gangster like that. LOL

Needless to say, my family and I had a relaxing and fun stay at City Garden Grand Hotel! It was the perfect venue for a chill yet luxurious birthday treat!
