The Shangri-La Resort & Spa is Boracay’s ultimate luxury resort. It is one of my favorite “Me-time” haunts and also a regular family retreat. Every stay has been memorable.
So when I was invited to Reservations In Paradise, Shangri-La Resort & Spa last year, I did not hesitate in going.
Boracay Resort & Spa, Philippines, in partnership with Bacchus International and Globe Platinum invited luxury experience seekers to an unforgettable weekend overflowing with the finest food, wine and leisure options offered exclusively by Reservations in Paradise.
I usually book a Garden View Room whenever I stay in Shangri-la Resort & Spa as I hardly stay in the room and spend most of my time at the beach. It was my first time to stay in the resort’s Seaview Suite.

The view is everything!
Welcome surprise in my suite
I will be blogging a room tour soon to give you an idea how fabulous this suite is. Watch out for it!!
A butler service is available to guests who book the Seaview Suite and Villas. Meet my personal butler Pinky. She is friendly, efficient and takes the best photos for Instagram! According to her, the resort gives the staff regular workshops on photography to help guests take the best photos. How cool is that?
The three-day epicurean journey Reservations in Paradise is now on its fifth season. The festivity had a series of sunset cocktails and dinner parties with wine pairings in surprise venues around the resort. Featured wines come from Marchesi Antinori, La Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné and Champagne Billecart-Salmon.

Reservations in Paradise is all about luxury accommodations. My ride to the Globe Platinum sunset party!
Globe Platinum Sunset Party

Clockwise: With Mr. Amit Oberoi (formerly general manager of the resort now general manager of Edsa Shangri-La, Manila) and wife Pritha during the Globe Platinum Sunset Cocktails; guests at the party; with the cool Globe Telecom President and CEO Ernest Cu and the new Director of Communications of Makati Shangri-la, Patti Javier. Ahhhh, congrats, Patti!!
This most elegant gourmet event in Boracay had a gustatory feast with a cool music medley. The first night was set the by the symphony of ultimate indulgence as guests were treated to a performance of the sensational virtuoso cello duo 2Cellos from Croatia, followed by an equally glorious seaside dinner and after-dinner party.

Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser of 2Cellos are best known for re-imagining pop and rock tunes performed on their cellos. The Croatian duo, who has released two albums, has toured with Sir Elton John and his band. 2Cellos’ performance in Boracay is co-produced by Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa.
Explosive performance by 2Cellos
Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brunch
The following day, started with a Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brunch, a lovely morning affair with a wide spread of fresh breakfast selections and mid-day favorites available at live stations whilst champagne freely flowed at the resort’s expansive Alon Garden.

Brunch al fresco with Mr. Oberoi
The money shot! Hahaha
The rest of the day was spent with the guests’ choice of leisure activity: a spa treatment at CHI, The Spa, golf at Fairways & Bluewater Resort, an introductory dive course or cooking class with one of the resort’s master chefs.
Of course, I chose the one with the least amount of activity involved—spaaahhhh!
The best sunset
