I started cooking and baking at a very young age. I basically have almost 20 years of experience under my belt and the kitchen is a natural habitat for me. Over the years, I’ve learned a few simple tricks in making life easy in the kitchen specially when you’re busy and rushing in the morning.
Here are some of my quick & easy life hacks for the kitchen:
Not toast!
Burnt toast happens to the best of us. This usually happens to me when I’m multitasking or when I’m trying out a new bread and I’m not familiar with the sugar content (the sugar that’s in the bread that causes the toast to burn) and leave it too long in the toaster.
If it’s the last piece of bread in the pack or if you can’t be bothered toasting another one, you can still save the burnt toast by just scraping the chard portions using a butter knife.
Life is back to normal again.
Rice and shine!
It’s BBQ season! Whether their homemade or store-bought, someone’s bound to have a few sticks leftovers in the fridge (this rarely happens in our household though as we woof down pork BBQs like there is no tomorrow, haha).
Cold BBQ sucks. A quick & easy way to revive the stale pork is to make BBQ Fried Rice.
Easy peasy: Heat up some marinade sauce or BBQ sauce in a pan (never reuse used marinade as it will make you sick), chuck the BBQ meat (take them out of the skewers, obviously) in the pan, add some rice and fresh or frozen veggies. Mix till cooked.
Et voila! Instant BBQ goodness for anytime of the day!
Eggziting!
Making leche flan has never been easier! This is life-changing!
Watch now:
Life can be tough and sometimes all you need to do is just hack it.
