The powder room, also called a guest bathroom, is one space in your home that should exude your personality and style. A small space like a powder room is the perfect place to experiment with big and bold style. If there’s one room that guests are likely to see, it’s the powder room so it’s worthwhile to go the extra mile — outfit it with fancy fixtures and dress it up with luxury items of like scented soaps, a tray of perfume and fine linens or wow your guests with arresting wallpaper and out-of-this world accessories. Those extra touches will make you and your guests feel special.
In our new home, we are lucky to have a spacious powder room on the first floor. It’s one of the first rooms that we kinda completed (I’m still looking for the perfect light fixture) and so far I’m happy with the result. I’ll blog about it soon. Tune in!
Here are some of my powder room inspirations:
I’ve always been in love with the iconic Scalamandre Zebra wallpaper! Isn’t it crazy beautiful?!!
The moment Cupcakes and Cashmere’s Emily Schuman blogged about her powder room reveal, a barrage of Pins exploded on the Net. The gargantuan flower wallpaper is everything! It is probably one of the most re-pinned (and copied as well) powder rooms to date. LOVE!
Cupcakes and Cashmere’s “before” and “after” powder room makeover. AMAZE!!
Leave it to designer Kelly Wearstler to create a cool and elegant powder room in Viceroy Hotel! I’m crazy for the green, black and white gorgeousness!
Another Kelly Wearstler pasabog! Graphic wallpaper patterns tamed with gold accents.
Refreshing and really nice. That vintage bamboo mirror is a gem!
Brass fixtures done well. Note on the emerald green accents!
Chinoiserie chic!
No one will mind the “attention” while doing their business in this powder room with this Fornasetti wallpaper.
The carrara marble subway brick tiles make an elegant powder room.
So much personality and originality in this room! Love the jewel-toned upholstery and that mini matador outfit is so cool. Olé!
Oozing with luxury from the stools to the counter top to the accessories.
Backlit onyx done right. Soooo beautiful! The rouge wallpaper and crystal scones give a romantic vibe too.
Small space, big on style!
What a creative use of sink. It’s all about that ornate mirror!
Mirror, mirror on the wall. So much love for this space!
If you’re going to use Bisazza tiles for the powder room, go for the mural mosaic!
Like what I said, Bisazza mural mosaic or bust. Ditch the plain.
More Bisazza pasabog! That lucite sink!!!
Very, very light but also very, very stylish!
Who needs wallpapers or tiles when you have cool wall art.
Black, white and bold!
Modern retro coolness. The floating mirror is just perf!
Wait lang… OH. EM. GEE.
Extra toilet paper ba kamo?!! This is what NOT to do in your powder room! KAKALOKA!!! Haha!
Gone are the days of the plain and boring powder rooms. I believe that the smaller the space, the crazier it should be!
Happy decorating!
