PFW | Day 1

It’s that time of the year again.

Philippine Fashion Week, is a week-long celebration where all the fashionphiles in the industry gather at SMX convention center, to celebrate all that is inspiring and Filipino.

I’m a big supporter of our fashion industry, Filipino designers and retailers. I love the passion and hard work that goes into building their collection and keeping the business alive. I know for a fact that being in retail and having a atelier is not for the lighthearted as our market is finickee, and in my opinion, already saturated. To maintain a business in fashion takes a lot of hard work, patience, and money.

On that note, here’s Day 1 of Philippine Fashion Week:

The Ramp Crossings

I’m ready!

In my opinion, when it comes to fashion events, it’s all about “todo” (read: full-on)! As in, todo black — from the little black dress to black accessories to black, sky-high heels, even the makeup, black eyes! Haha!

Back to black. Dress, Tyler; Bag, Lancel “Le Fabuleux”; Shoes, Alexander McQueen; Bracelet, Cristina Brampti; Nails, Orly in “Witch’s Blue”; Hairstyle, Henri Calayag; Makeup, John Pagaduan of Shu Uemura

Thanks Xandra Ramos-Padilla of The Ramp Crossings for inviting Aryanna. It was her first time at Philippine Fashion Week.

I’m glad that Aryanna went with me as my date and human crutch (I wore killer shoes last night and I’m lucky to be alive and still standing. Haha!) Thanks for accompanying me, sweetheart!

Not-so-little-black-dress. Dress, Forever 21; High tops, Juicy Couture; Wrap bracelet, Vita Vede

I wish I took more photos of the guests and friends but Aryanna and I had to be in and out of the venue as I have work and she had volleyball practice the next day.

The few friends I spotted (as in tatlo lang sila, haha!):

  1. Hi Ms. Jenni!

My friend and I saw you and Aryanna while taking pictures outside the Hall. We were fascinated by the both of you. Very pretty and stylish. 🙂
