Pancit ++

It had to happen. Someone finally put a twist or should I say twits on our favorite Pinoy noodles, the pancit!

Pancit Planet is the brainchild of Paolo Taña & his best friend, Kiko Gargantiel. Both are in the advertising industry. The two met twelve years ago while working on a project. Each overtime meant eating out to unwind. In one of their food bonding moments, they created Pancit Planet.

Why pancit? There’s always pancit in each occasion celebrated by most Filipino families. And both being creatives, they put a twist in pancit. That’s why there’s the sisig, lechon macau, tuna flakes w/ spicy dilis, chicken teriyaki, chicken inasal & bbq liempo w/ sweet bagoong. Kiko thought of the combination and Paolo, a whiz in the kitchen developed the variants.

Look what arrived two days ago in time for Aryanna’s birthday dinner:

Oodles of noodles from Pancit Planet!

Thanks Pancit Planet! Special thanks to Ina Taningco Taña! I’m so glad I met you at Carthy’s party!

Three layers of goodness in every Pancit Planet take-out containers: (From top) meat, assorted veggies, sauce, and pancit. Mmm…

Best combo: Choose one savory pancit flavor (Pancit Chicken Inasal, Pancit Dilis, Pancit Sisig) and one sweet/smokey variant (Pancit Chicken Terriyaki, Pancit BBQ Liempo w/ Sweet Bagoong, Pancit Lechon Macau)

Sweet and smokey Chicken Terriyaki

  1. Definitely, Lechon really tastes good a very savory dish especially the one from Cebu. But this one Lechon bed in veggies and pancit is a very unique and looks to tempting. 🙂
