Nivea Sun Island Escapade

It’s hard to believe that Summer is nearing when we are currently experiencing chilly weather in the city.

When the folks at Nivea Sun invited me to an island escapade, I didn’t think twice. I love the cool temperature but I also miss the sunny weather and the wonderful islands of El Nido, Palawan.

The beautiful Lagen Island Resort was my home for a few days.

Our first agenda when we arrived in paradise was to eat and relax. I’m so down with that! It’s time to smell the roses, er, bougainvillea.

The late afternoon was spent at the poolside with a cold beverage in hand while getting the lowdown on Nivea Sun’s revolutionary products — this is the life!

The day was capped off with a fabulous sand soireé at Sandbar in Entuala Island. It was all about seaside dinner, drinks and dance!

One of the highlights of my trip was the Detox & Smoothie Workshop by Flow SurfYogaSamba. I learned new healthy and yummy raw food recipes and I also got to hangout with some girlfriends.

Green Girls. Bubbles Paraiso and Maggie Wilson-Consunji joined the workshop too. They are two of the hottest female celebrities in my book! I also found out that they eat mostly healthy food and work out religiously. Peg na ‘to!

All that green smoothie and raw food can boots one’s energy so a much-needed island hopping is in order.

I woke up at the crack of dawn on my last day in Lagen Island. Watching the sun light up the surrounding islands reminded me of the beauty of the Philippines. I also miss nature. With the busy schedule I keep in the city, this relaxing and fun getaway has rejuvenated my body and soul. I truly felt beautiful inside and out.
