My Daughter’s New Show: Pepper Draws

One day, I heard my daughter Aryanna talking to herself inside her room. I was wondering what was going on? I thought, maybe she was talking on the phone with a friend or Skype-ing with her Grandma. When I opened the door, I saw her talking to a camera on a tripod.

Me: What’s going on?
Aryanna: I’m working on a project.
Me: What project?
Aryanna: Mom! Let me finish this first.
Me: Finish what?
Aryanna: *death stare*
Me: Fine.
Aryanna: Oh, motherrr
Me: Yesssss
Aryanna: Please close the door behind you.

Ladies, gentlemen and gays, this is what my daughter has been working on:

Pepper Draws (insert: “Yay!”)

Episode 1: Flower Girls

Flower Girls are Aryanna’s original characters. She draws girls with well, flowers on their heads or clothes.

It got a lot of “Likes” when I posted her illustration on Instagram. Check out how her characters came to life:

Tip: Watch her videos on HD (click on the small gear icon located below the YouTube screen).

Episode 2: Twins

This video is with special participation of her 3-year old brother Dylan. When Aryanna showed it to me, I died laughing! I think she captured how most lil’ siblings are — video bombers! Haha!

Episode 3: Hipster Cat

Aryanna asked me to help her film this particular video so that she can take advantage of the scenery of the hotel we stayed in. It was such a fun experience making her vision come to life.

She was so easy to work with and I love her ideas! Watch this!

Episode 4: Mermaid

According to Aryanna, most of her friends request for her brother Dylan’s participation in the video. I get it. Our little nugget is quite the character!

Episode 5: Mom Myths

This time, Pepper TALKS! NKKLK!

I’m not sure that I want to promote this video! Haha! Kidding aside, I think it’s cool. Anyone who has a mom or is a mom would be able to relate to this:

The first time she showed me her video of ‘Pepper Draws: Flower Girls’, I knew it was something she loved doing — drawing and expressing herself. She has no formal training, just sheer passion. Her art is raw. The way she shoots her video is also raw. Tom and I think it’s cool. We support her 100% on this.

Her show on YouTube is fun and fresh! Watching it will put a smile on your face. Tom and I crack up every time she uploads a new episode! We’re glad her personality comes through her show. Good job, sweetheart!

Aryanna never fails to surprise me and make me cry. She makes me so proud and happy as a mother. I just want her to do things that makes her happy. Isn’t that what most parents wish for their children?

In a nutshell, this is my “Anna Banana” moment. Haha! I hope you support my daughter in her project. She will be uploading new videos everyday, well, five times a week. I’ve seen a preview of episode 6 & 7, it’s cool and super funny! Tune in!

P.S.

If Aryanna is going to shoot most of her videos in her room, she needs to finish redecorating it. Tom also need to hang all the artworks. I have to find a dresser and a small cabinet for her room. Haaay!
