The holiday beauty collection has arrived! Here are my picks:

Shu Uemura x Wong Kar Wai
Wong Kar Wai has made his name as one of the greatest, modern-day auteur with critically acclaimed films such as “In The Mood For Love”, “Chungking Express” and “2046″ under his belt. The man knows his art, and he knows it very well. In this unique collaboration with Shu Uemura, Wong Kar Wai brings his mastery in colors into the world of makeup for Shu Uemura 2011 Holiday collection. Wong Kar Wai discovers the mystical side of femininity in the short film, “Mask” and his vision carried through the beautiful packaging and vivid colors of red and blue for this collection.

Movie + Makeup = Magic

Beautiful packaging!

So, how does a film director design makeup? Wong Kar Wai x Shu Uemura created holographic lids for their palette! Bravo!

Jane Iredale

Jane Iredale makeup is known as The Skin Care Makeup. Jane Iredale is so gentle it is recommended by plastic surgeons and dermatologists.

They are designed to enhance your beauty, while covering the little flaws. In fact, they actually improve your skin as you wear them.

Jane Iredale introduced her unique mineral makeup line in May 1994. Designed as a healthy alternative to traditional makeup, it was the first full makeup line on the market to offer not just color enhancement but also benefits to the skin.

Jane Iredale provides a complete collection of cosmetics including mineral foundations, concealers, blushes, bronzers, shadows, eyebrow gels, mascara, lip color, and a variety of application tools, making it easy to help you look your best.

Jane Iredale natural makeup products are made without talc, mineral oil, chemical dyes, or preservatives.

The “good” makeup

Jane Iredale is available at Rustan’s; True Scents and Minerals Showroom at 103 Evekel Bldg. 855 Arnaiz St., Legaspi Vill. Makati City

Laura Mercier
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight moisturizer with SPF 20 & a hint of color that can be used in place of foundation. This is what I slather on my face everyday. Very, very light lang sya!

Laura Mercier must-haves

The Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is finely milled and silky and holds back the shine. I use a powder puff to apply it on my face.

Tip: This works best for those who have fair skin. I don’t suggest this for those who have medium to dark skin as it may appear chalky.

Tip: For less chalky look, retouch your makeup with translucent powder

Snoe White
If you have issues with skin whitening products, skip this.

Me, kanya-kanyang trip yan.

I’m a sucker for nice packaging and Snoe (pronounced as “snowy”) White get’s two snaps for it!

Pretty packaging

Massage oil and lip jam

Love this!

Ahhhh!!! So kyoooot! Beso-beso!

Snoe White is available at SM department Stores; Cinderella Glorietta; Bazaar exhibits at Robinson’s Galleria; Metro East Malate; Noel bazaar this December

Look happy and not haggard this coming holiday, slap some makeup on — a little goes a long way!
