A tropical New Year’s Eve celebration is in dire need of a festive and cold beverage. While the traditional hot cocoa or tsokolate will remain as a favorite, creamy and yummy milkshakes are really the way to go.
Let me share with you one of my family’s Christmas drink recipes:
Holiday Milkshake
Ingredients:
1 can Carnation Evap
2 scoops vanilla ice cream (for healthier option use 2 small plain, sweetened yogurt)
2 tsp vanilla extract
a pinch of cinnamon
a pinch of nutmeg
1 cup ice cubes
funfetti or sprinkles (to rim the glass)
honey (for moistening the rim of the glass)
whipped cream as topping
(Serves 2)

Carnation Evap is my secret ingredient in making this recipe. Evaporated milk gives body to smoothies, thickens up and sweetens and adds richness to the shake.
Easy peasy:
Step 1: Combine all the ingredients and ice cubes in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
Step 2: Moisten the rim of the glass with a thin coat of honey. Pour the sprinkles in a bowl and turn the glass upside down and dip it.
Step 3: Feel free to be mesmerized by your glorious creation.
Step 4: Pour the milkshake into your mason jar. Be sure to leave room for the whipped cream.
Step 5: Take in all the beauty of your frothy concoction.
Step 6: Whipped cream time!
Step 7: Drink this Holiday Milkshake like a boss.
You’re welcome!
Create meals and memories with the family this holiday season!
