Finally, H&M is now in the Philippines!
Aryanna and I are grateful to have been invited to the H&M VIP launch and shopping party last October 15 in Mega Fashion Hall, Megamall before it officially opened last October 17. We were very excited as we both love the brand for its style, quality and price points (a little birdie told me that their prices are the cheapest in Asia).
I have to be honest, my daughter and I planned our shopping attack for the launch. Since the event was scheduled on a payday and over a thousand were invited to the shopping party it meant that traffic and paying at the cashier would be hell. We wanted to have a heavenly shopping experience so we devised a strategy:
• Get to Megamall early

We know for a fact that that EDSA during peak hour traffic is hell so we left our place early and had a Pork Bun dinner at Tim Ho Wan before the event. Best. Decision. Ever.

Based on our experience, whenever a big retail store hosts a shopping event paying at the cashier can take years off your life. So during the H&M shopping party my daughter and I shopped as fast as we could (hindi naman hingal levelz, haha) and paid immediately before proceeding to the next floors (H&M in Megamall has three floors). Whenever we missed out on some pieces, we just went back to the cashier and paid again before the hoards of shoppers started lining up. Boom!

We came, we saw, we conquered and we shopped. As you can see in the photo above, we were two very happy (and strategic) shoppers that night.
Thanks, H&M and welcome to the Philippines!

In other news, some Facebook “critics” have been judging shoppers who’ve lined up for hours to get their hands on H&M merchandise during the opening last October 17 and all I can say is… SHUT UP. OMG. NOT EVERYONE HAS TRAVELED ABROAD AND HAS SHOPPED IN H&M. AND IF THEY WANT TO LINE UP FOR HOURS OR EVEN DAYS, LET THEM BE! That’s all.
