Argentina Corned Beef Breakfast Pizza

I learned about breakfast pizzas from watching Chef Mario Batali’s cooking shows. I mean, what a clever idea—just add egg on your favorite pizza toppings and viola… Pang breakfast na!

If you’re looking for something to spice up your brunch, try my recipe:

Argentina Corned Beef Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

Argentina Corned Beef, cooked

Whole wheat pita bread or pizza dough or wheat tortillas… Whatever floats your boat.

Shredded mozzarella and tomato sauce (try my vegetarian “bolognese” sauce recipe, click here)

Bellpepper

Egg

Easy peasy:

Step 1: Cook the Argentina Corned Beef. Pile your toppings onto the pizza dough or pita bread or tortilla.

Step 2: Crack the egg into the bell pepper ring. Season it with Himalayan salt and fresh ground pepper.

I used to the just crack the egg onto the topping without using any mold. It was my daughter Aryanna’s idea to use the bell pepper ring to hold the shape of the egg. Genius!

If you don’t like bell peppers, you can take it out as soon as the egg is done. Personally, I love this veggie! It adds extra crunch to the pizza plus, it serves as a beautiful garnish.

I used a small size wheat pita bread for this recipe. If you’re using a large size pizza dough, double or triple the recipe and crack 3-4 eggs on top to evenly distribute the egg. Everyone deserves some ooze in their slice.

Step 3: Since I used whole wheat pita bread, I didn’t need to bake it;  I just cooked it under the griller.  If you’re using a pizza dough crust, you must bake it in the oven, 375°F for 15-20 minutes or until egg is cooked.

Step 4: After a few minutes… Luto na!

A slice of heaven

Oooooze, baby oooooze!

Simot sarap!

Gather the family and try this recipe. It’s easy, yummy, and a fun dish to make. Get the kids involved in making their own pizza. Teach them how to crack an egg and use the bell pepper as target.

Make meals and memories with your loved ones!
