Q. Hi Jenni (with an “I”, hehe)! I’m an avid reader of your blog/website. I love reading all your posts: Family, Fashion, Food, Beauty, Gadget, Lifestyle, Blogs, and I also read all your fan mails on Amazing Readers! I’m in awe of how you balance family and fashion. I’m a stay at home mom with three kids and bored with my routine. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family but I’m at a point in my life where I want to spice things up. Nothing wild, just something that is not routinary. I was wondering, if it’s not too much to ask, could you document your day for me and your hoards of readers? I’m interested to know how you juggle life! Please! You’re such an inspiration! Thank you sooooooo much!
Jenni: Wow! Thanks for supporting my website! Double WOW kasi parang “LIST” levels lang itong request mo (see my previous post)! Haha!
Please excuse me too for taking so long to respond to your email, but as some of you may know, I’ve been a busy bee! I thought this would be the prefect time to answer your request as I have a solution on how to “spice things up” in your life!
Whenever I’m feeling bored or uninspired, instead of painting the town red, I take time to recharge my body and soul by means of spending some time alone.
Spending some “me” time allows me to unwind and reflect on what’s happening in my life. It’s also the perfect time to toss out the bad thoughts, relish the good ones, and relax.
Two weeks ago, my morning meetings got postponed and I found myself with five hours of free time before I had to pick-up Aryanna from school and attend an evening pre production meeting.
I took advantage of it used it for “me” time!
11:00 am Just me and my Starbucks
12:00 pm Fine dining for lunch
I rarely go to restaurants for lunch more so, eat a three-course meal because I just don’t have the time. I usually cook a quick meal at home or just grab takeout.
Me time means to indulge.
1:30pm I did a bit of shopping.
2:30pm Sat on a bench at Greenbelt 5
It’s nice to just sit and not have to answer any questions. Sitting quietly can be beneficial in lowering blood pressure and allowing you to catch your breath.
3:00 pm Recharged, refreshed, and relaxed.
Time to pick-up Aryanna!
Solitude is a positive state, necessary to keep one sane and healthy. It’s only when you make time for yourself that you can reflect on your own inner desires, set new goals, and discover your courage to pursue your dreams. Now, isn’t that exciting?
Shoppingero/shoppingera, remember that a little “me” time, goes a long way!

Another great post — I am a huge believer in me-time! I used to work abroad and it was there, separated from my family and old friends, that I really learned to “fall in love” with spending time on my own. Now I make it a point to always carve some time for myself to recharge, reflect, and treat myself…just as you have done here 🙂 I believe we all need, and deserve, me-time…especially moms!
As what I’ve shared on my blog as tribute to my post birthday celebration (August 31) Yes, magka-somewhat birthday tayo Mother J! LOL anyway, I said mom or no mom, dad or no dad anyone who’s working so hard (in different levels, school, work or at home) deserve even a minute of a breather. One simply must squeeze “me time” in everyday life. It’s like “charging time” for our gadgets wherein they get to rest even for 30 minutes before we haggard them again with our non-stop use. LOL BTW, I’m hoping we can have our “we time” soon! #Jenniration alam na! 😉
