The Phantom of the Opera is the longest running Broadway show in history. Some critics say that if you’ve never seen a musical play, it would be the best show to introduce you to the world of musicals.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal hit celebrated its 25th anniversary on the West End stage last year, and continues to play to full houses nightly in London, New York and around the world. THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has been seen by over 130 million people worldwide, has been performed in more than 27 countries, has won over major theater award, and has grossed more than $5.6 billion.
Aryanna and I love watching plays! The last time we were in New York, we missed Broadway. So when we found out that Phantom of the Opera was touring Manila, we made sure to watch it.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is a heart-wrenching story of the mysterious, hideously disfigured Phantom who lives beneath the Paris Opera House, and his obsession with the young singer Christine. Disguised as the “Angel of Music” he devotes himself to creating a new opera star, and winning her love from his rival Raoul, while exercising a reign of terror over the Opera House.
What to wear to the theater
A night out at the theater is a semi-formal to formal event. We chose a Sunday matinee show, so we wore something that’s appropriate for a day to nighttime look.

I really love Aryanna’s style! I wish I could say that I style her outfits but I don’t. Her cool look is entirely her own. I love that she is slowly discovering her own style and always age-appropriate.

Welcome to the theater
We bought our tickets online and we chose front row seats so that we could see the details of the casts’ costumes.
With 130 cast, crew and orchestra members, jaw-dropping scenery, breathtaking special effects, and more than 230 stunning costumes, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA contains some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most famous and stirring music.
The famous chandelier still covered with canvas.
Aryanna and I had a grand time watching Phantom of the Opera. Our hands hurt from clapping especially during the curtain call! Bravo!
