How’s everyone doing? Have you recovered from the holidays yet? To be honest, I’m not over the holidays. I know, right? I love that my children were on their Christmas vacation last December as we had lots of quality time together. We really maximized our time by playing lots of gameboards, cooking (we barbecued almost everyday) and watching movies in the theater and at home. It was fun!
It’s back to normal in Maison Epperson. Tom and the kids are back on track with their schedules and I’m just chilling.
For the first time in my life, I feel very relaxed. It’s quite a new feeling for me because raising a family, building a career, being a good wife while growing as a person are quite the juggling act. Being passionate in all aspects of life comes with a price—it leaves one very little time to unwind.
When I was younger, I remember reading somewhere this quote:
“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”
Those words resonated with me and I took them to heart.
Here’s my top 15 list of life-changing ways to invest in your life:
1. Proper skin care
2. Spend quality time with children or play with kids
3. Open communication with your partner
4. Me-time is important
5. Work hard, work smart and work many jobs
6. Stay fit and healthy
7. Get involve in sports
8. Travel
9. Learn to cook and drive
10. Read
11. Meet new people and make friends
12. Positive self-talk
13. Earn a living
14. Be grateful
15. Love your life or create a life that you love
My life has changed in a way that now, more than ever, the hardwork and time I invested in nurturing my family and building a career have been paying off. I’m at a point in my life when I can choose projects and at the same time continue sharing my experiences on this blog.
If there’s one thing I can impart is that it’s never too early or too late to start doing something positive in your life. Do the work now and see how your future life unfolds beautifully. Be better, not perfect.
Are you ready to start taking steps in improving your life? Let’s go!
